Description
Another one of those clever wartime designs from Weldon’s. The dress has a one piece back
and puff sleeves. The skirt front and side panels are joined to the front bodice which is
gathered into the skirt and has a cute little gathered belt which also sits either side of
the front panel and is buckled at the back when finished. The dress has a side placket
opening which can be finished with hooks and eyes or press studs.
As usual with Forties wartime patterns there are no fabric suggestions. Because of rationing it was
pretty much what you could get or reuse. Try cotton, Rayon, Viscose, Linen, Chambray these would
work well with the design.
To fit Bust 32 ins. – Hip 36 ins.
The pattern has basic step by step instructions and I have included a helpful sewing guide
