1940s Wash Frock Sewing Pattern – Notch Neck & Tie Waist

This 1940s wartime sewing pattern is for a simple wash frock with a notched neckline, short sleeves and a blouse-style bodice.

The bodice joins a three-part skirt, while ties at the waist draw the dress in and allow the fit to be adjusted when worn.

As with many wartime patterns, fabric choice would often have depended on what was available. Cotton, linen, viscose or rayon and similar light to medium-weight woven fabrics would all suit the design.

No waist measurement is given, with the tie waist providing some adjustment.
