1940s Playsuit & Blouse Sewing Pattern – Bib Shorts, Bust 36

This 1940s sewing pattern is for a playsuit with bib-front shorts and a coordinating blouse.

The bib and suspenders are incorporated into the centre front of the shorts, which also have a side-front pleat. The separate blouse has a convertible notched collar with soft gathers at the shoulders.

There is a choice of long sleeves gathered into cuffs or short sleeves, giving two different versions of the blouse to wear with the playsuit.

No original fabric recommendations are given. Suitable woven fabrics could include cotton, chambray, linen blends and similar light to medium-weight fabrics.

The pattern is drafted for a 36-inch bust and 39-inch hip and is suitable for an advanced beginner upwards.
