Vintage 1950s Knitting Pattern – Striped V-Neck Sweater Bust 40-42

A 1950s striped V-neck sweater knitted in three colours, with a neat fitted shape and a particularly useful larger bust size.

Worked in 2-ply yarn, the contrasting green, white and grey stripes give the sweater its distinctive design, while the simple V-neck keeps the overall look clean and easy to wear.

You will need approximately 6 oz (171 g) of 2-ply yarn in total: 3 oz (86 g) green, 2 oz (57 g) white and 1 oz (29 g) grey, together with a pair of UK No. 12 (2.75 mm) knitting needles.

The pattern is sized to fit a 40–42″ (102–107 cm) bust.
