Vintage 1930s Jumper Knitting Pattern Short Sleeve Moss Stitch Sweater 32–34 Bust

Light, elegant, and very much of its era, this 1930s jumper pattern is a lovely choice for
warm weather knitting. The design combines textured moss stitch with a delicate open
work pattern, creating a fabric that feels light and airy while still having plenty of interest.

It features short sleeves and a neat, flattering shape typical of the 1930s. The front
neckline has a small opening that can be finished with a short zip, or alternatively
worked with small buttons if preferred. It also has a little breast pocket worked in.

Originally knitted in Pearsall’s “Pamela” Sparkle Twist in a soft brick red shade, the yarn is
likely similar to a modern 4 ply, giving the jumper a fine, summery feel.

The pattern is written to fit a 32–34 inch bust, with a length of about 19 inches from shoulder
to hem and a 4 inch sleeve seam, worked to a tension of 7 stitches per inch over the moss
stitch pattern.
