Description
This one is from 1939 and features a knitted cape, muff and Cap with a crochet snood.
All worked in Astrakhan
The original yarn used was: W.B Kwiknit Astrakhan
Cape: 42 ozs. (1191g) A pair of No. 4 (6mm) needles
Cap with Snood: 4 ozs. (114g) same yarn and 1 oz. (29g) of Melody 3 ply. A pair
No. 6 (5mm) needles and a Medium bone crochet hook to work the snood.
Muff: 8 ozs: (227g) same yarn and a pair of No. 6 (5mm) needles.
The exact size is not mentioned, just that it will fit an average figure.
The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart to help
