1930s Haslam Dresscutting No. 6 – Spring & Summer Dresses, Suits & Coats

Haslam Illustrated Book of Drafting Supplement No. 6 is a Spring and Summer collection featuring a varied selection of 1930s fashions for the warmer months.

The book includes coats, suits and dresses for spring, together with lighter summer dresses, giving a useful mix of everyday clothing and smart tailoring from the period.

Unlike many of the later Haslam design books, the dress foundation drafting instructions are included within this booklet, together with the sleeve draft and alternative neckline options. You will still need the Haslam Drafting Boards to work from your individual measurements and complete the drafting process.

Rather than working from standard-sized sewing patterns, the Haslam System of Dresscutting allows you to create each garment from the foundation and adapt the design to your own measurements.

Some of the illustrations have been colourised to help show how the finished garments may look when made up; the booklet itself is presented in black and white.
