1930s Haslam Dresscutting No. 11 – Dresses, Evening Wear, Lingerie & Separates

Haslam Illustrated Book of Drafting No. 11 is a mid-1930s collection featuring a particularly varied selection of women’s fashions, together with a small selection of designs for children.

The book includes dresses and evening wear, coats, skirts and blouses, together with lingerie and a range of additional details including sleeves and jabots. It offers a good cross-section of 1930s clothing, from everyday separates and outerwear to more formal styles.

The Foundation drafting is included within this booklet, so you do not need the separate Foundation Instructions to use No. 11. You will still need the Haslam Drafting Boards to work from your individual measurements and complete the drafting process.

Rather than working from standard-sized sewing patterns, the Haslam System of Dresscutting allows you to create each garment from the foundation and adapt the design to your own measurements.

Some of the illustrations have been colourised to help show how the finished garments may look when made up; the booklet itself was originally produced in black and white.
