1940s Wartime Four Panel Skirt Sewing Pattern – Easy Make

A simple and very wearable wartime skirt from 1943, made from four panels with a straight waistband and side placket opening. With just three pattern pieces, this is a really straightforward vintage skirt to make.

The simple construction also makes it a good pattern to grade or adjust if you need a different size. Full instructions are included, together with guidance on fitting and adjusting the pattern.

To fit waist 28 in and hip 37 in.

There were no particular fabrics suggested with the pattern, but flannel, linen, suiting or tweed would all work well.

Skill level: Beginner and upwards.
