1940s Pinafore/Jumper Dress & Blouse Sewing Pattern – Bust 36″

A practical 1940s pinafore dress, known as a jumper dress in American patterns, designed to be worn over the coordinating blouse included with the pattern. The two pieces can be worn together as a complete outfit or combined separately with other garments.

The pinafore or jumper dress has the neat, structured shape typical of the period, while the blouse features a shaped front yoke which controls the fullness through the bodice. Two collar variations are included, together with a choice of short or long sleeves.

Suggested fabrics for the blouse include rayon (viscose), washing silk, linen, cotton and georgette, giving plenty of choice between a softly draped or slightly crisper finish.
