1940s Gathered Yoke Blouse Sewing Pattern | Short or Long Sleeves | Tie Neck

Price range: £9.99 through £15.99

A simple, smart little blouse from the 1940s, with just enough detail to make it interesting. The blouse is softly gathered into a shoulder yoke at both the front and back, giving it an easy, flattering shape that looks particularly good tucked into a high-waisted vintage skirt or trousers.

There are two neckline finishes to choose from. Make it with the soft tie collar for a classic everyday look, or use the ribbon-run beading neckline finished with lace for something a little prettier.

The sleeves can also be made in two ways: long and gathered into neat wristbands, or short with ribbon-run beading to match the neckline.

Cotton or silk would both work well, while a lightweight cotton voile would make a lovely summer version.

To fit Bust 34 ins. (86 cm), Hip 37 ins. (94 cm).
