1940s Box Coat Sewing Pattern – Two Lengths, Bust 34″

Price range: £10.49 through £21.99

A 1945 box-style coat with a notched collar, welt pockets and a choice of two lengths. The coat is fully lined and has deep armholes with long two-piece sleeves finished with separate cuffs.

The coat can be worn belted or unbelted, giving two different silhouettes from the same pattern. The longer version also has a vent at the centre back to provide additional ease of movement.

The original pattern does not give specific fabric recommendations, but wool or wool blends, tweed, Melton and boiled wool would all work well. Satin, anti-static lining or a similar suitable lining fabric can be used for the interior.

The pattern is sized to fit a 34″ (86 cm) bust and 37″ (94 cm) hip.

Suitable for an intermediate sewer, the pattern includes step-by-step instructions together with a helpful sewing guide for additional guidance.

This pattern is available in three convenient formats:
Multi-page PDF: Perfect for printing at home.
A0 PDF: Ideal for sending to a print shop.
Printed Version: Delivered directly to your address.
