1943 Blouse, Slip & Dress Sewing Pattern – Bust 38

This 1943 sewing pattern can be made as a blouse, a slip with a blouse-style bodice, or as a complete dress. To make the blouse version, the skirt section is simply omitted below the waistline.

Figures 1 and 1a have a lace-trimmed jabot and matching lace-trimmed collar, with a choice of bishop sleeves or short cuffed sleeves.

Figures 2 and 2a have front bands cut in one with the collar and can be made with either bishop sleeves or short plain sleeves.

The original pattern does not specify fabrics, but cotton, viscose and linen would all be suitable choices depending on the version you are making.

The pattern is for a 38-inch bust, 32-inch waist and 41-inch hip. Basic step-by-step instructions are included, together with additional sewing tips.
