1930s Lace Yoke Jumper with Puff Sleeves – Vintage Knitting Pattern

Price range: £3.99 through £6.99

A pretty little 1930s jumper with a lovely combination of textures and contrasting colours. The lower part is worked in simple stocking stitch, while the delicate lace yoke and charming puff sleeves give it that unmistakable 1930s look.

The jumper has a softly shaped yoke, ribbed welts at the waist and sleeve edges, and a dainty crochet-finished neckline. Worked in two contrasting shades, it’s a particularly attractive design that would look just as lovely in modern colour combinations.

The original yarns used were 4 oz (approx. 113g) of W.B. Rosedale 4-ply Fingering in a dark shade and 2 oz (approx. 57g) of W.B. AA Shetland Wool in a lighter shade.

You’ll need a pair each of No. 3 (6.5mm) and No. 11 (3mm) knitting needles, together with a No. 13 (2.25mm) crochet hook for finishing.

Tension: 4½ stitches to 1 inch in width on No. 3 (6.5mm) needles.

Finished Measurements: 37 inches around the bust after light pressing.

I’d suggest this jumper for a 35–37 inch bust
