1930s–40s Women’s Hepburn Trousers Sewing Pattern – Two Styles, Waist 28

Price range: £10.49 through £19.99

This late-1930s to early-1940s sewing pattern includes two styles of women’s trousers, each with a different waist, pocket and fastening treatment.

The Regulation Slacks have a straight waistband, inserted side pockets and a buttoned side closing.

The second version has a built-up waistline with shaped patch pockets and a slide-fastener opening at the left side. Belt carriers are included so the slacks can be worn with either a fabric or novelty belt.

Suitable fabrics include soft wool flannel, linen, piqué and cotton, as well as similar light to medium-weight woven fabrics.

The pattern is drafted for a 28-inch waist and 37-inch hip.

The original step-by-step instructions are fairly basic, so an additional sewing guide is included to help with construction.

Waist 28 inches – Hip 37 inches.
