1940s Embroidered Tyrolean Jumper Knitting Pattern for Ladies Bust 34–35

This 1940s puff-sleeved Tyrolean jumper is originally knitted in white with contrasting green
edging at the neckline, sleeves, and front opening. Decorative floral sprays are hand-embroidered
in bright colours using simple embroidery stitches, creating a classic vintage look. The jumper
features an invisible front fastening for a clean, tailored finish.

The original pattern calls for 6 oz (171 g) of Golden Eagle Polynit 3-ply wool in white, with 1 oz
(29 g) of green for the edging. Small oddments of red, yellow, and deep mauve yarn are used
for the embroidered flowers. The garment is worked using one pair each of UK size 10 (3.25 mm)
and UK size 12 (2.75 mm) knitting needles. Hooks and eyes and press studs are required for
the concealed fastening.
