1930s Tweed Jumper and Beret Knitting Pattern Bust 34

£2.99£5.99

Description

This smart jumper has a Beret to match. You can copy them in the colours mentioned or in those shown on the cover.
The tweed-like effect of the main part contrasts very happily with the plain colour of the yoke, cuffs and basque.

Measurements: To fit 34 inch bust.

Original materials used were: 5 hanks (2 ozs. each) Patons & Baldwins “Doris” Knitting Wool. 2 1/2 ozs (71g) of
Patons & Baldwins 3 ply Beehive Scotch Fingering. A pair each No. 12 (2.75mm) and No. 4 (6mm) needles.

For the Beret 3 ozs. (86g) of the “Doris” wool. A set of 4 No. 4 (6mm) needles pointed at both ends, to knit
the Beret on the round.

Size: Round the head 21 inches.

TENSION: 4 sts. to 1 inch in the “Doris” Tweed wool.

The needles are old sizes so I have included a conversion chart to help

Please note you are buying a copy of the pattern, not the original or the finished garment
