1950s Wiggle Dress Sewing Pattern – Fitted Sheath Dress with Contrast Collar

A smart 1950s wiggle dress with a beautifully fitted silhouette and some lovely period details. The wide contrast collar frames the neckline, while buttoned straps beneath the bust emphasise the shaped waist.

The narrow skirt has small slits at either side for ease of movement, and the dress fastens with a side zip beneath the arm. It can be made sleeveless as shown, or with short sleeves for a slightly different look.

There are no fabric recommendations given with the original pattern, but lightweight suiting, wool crepe, linen, rayon or a similar dress-weight woven fabric would work well.

The pattern is sized for a 34″ bust, 26″ waist and 36″ hip.
