Price range: £3.99 through £6.99

This vintage knitting pattern is for a Tyrolean-style jumper with a deep ribbed waist, button front and embroidered floral detail.

The lower section is worked in stocking stitch above the ribbed welt, while the upper body and sleeves feature a fancy grid pattern. Once the knitting is complete, small lazy daisies and leaves are embroidered over the design as shown.

The front fastens with 11 buttons and is finished with Petersham ribbon facing along the front edges.

The original yarn was Patons Glengarry Knitting Wool, with approximately 12 oz (341 g) required for the main garment, plus small amounts of contrasting wool for the embroidery.

Old UK No. 9 (3.75 mm) and No. 11 (3 mm) needles are required, together with 11 buttons and Petersham ribbon.

The stated tension is 6½ stitches to one inch.

To fit bust: 34 inches.
