1950s One-Piece Swimsuit & Sunsuit Sewing Pattern – Crossover Straps

This vintage sewing pattern is for a one-piece bathing suit or sunsuit with fitted shorts joined to the bodice at the waist.

The front bodice is divided into two sections and has a low-cut back with narrow crossover shoulder straps. The suit is fully lined and fastens with a zip at the centre back.

Suitable outer fabrics include gingham, piqué, cotton broadcloth and chambray. Suggested lining fabrics include wool jersey, rayon jersey and cotton broadcloth.

The pattern is drafted for a 32-inch bust, 26½-inch waist and 35-inch hip.
