1950s Scoop Neck Dress Vintage Knitting Pattern in Three sizes

A lovely 1950s knitted dress with a simple scoop neckline and a neat, fitted shape. Worked mainly in stocking stitch and rib, the straightforward construction makes this an approachable vintage knitting project.

The original pattern uses Sirdar ‘Tweedex’ 4-ply yarn with UK No. 12 (2.75 mm) needles. A modern 4-ply yarn of a suitable weight and tension can be substituted.

Instructions are included for three sizes, to fit bust 34″, 36″ and 38″ (86, 91 and 97 cm), waist 24″, 26″ and 28″ (61, 66 and 71 cm), and hip 36″, 38″ and 40″ (91, 97 and 102 cm).
