Description

This is the Mabel design. It’s worked mainly in stocking stitch with ribbed welts and yokes
on the front and back. The front has two breast pockets. The sleeves are in stocking stitch
with garter stitch borders and pleated at the top into the armhole.

The original yarn was 11 ozs. (312g) NETTA Knitting Wool 4 ply (or 12 ozs. (340g) P & B
Tweed Wool. A pair each No. 9 (3.75mm) and No. 11 (3mm) needles. A stitch holder and
four buttons.

Measurements : Length from top of shoulder 19 and a half inches. Width all round at underarm
35 inches, sleeve seam 16 and a half inches.

Tension: 6 and a half stitches to the inch in width measured over the plain smooth fabric
not stretched.
