1950s Summer Dress & Jacket Sewing Pattern – Two Bodices

A late 1950s summer dress and jacket pattern with a full skirt and a choice of two different bodice styles.

One version has a simple fitted bodice, while the second features a softly gathered bust overlay with delicate spaghetti straps, giving you two quite different dresses from the same pattern.

The coordinating lined jacket has a distinctive U-shaped front with double-breasted fastening, and can be worn with either version of the dress.

Cotton, taffeta, rayon (viscose), poplin and linen would all work well for this design, giving plenty of choice between an everyday summer dress and a smarter occasion version.

The pattern is sized to fit a 34″ (86 cm) bust.
