1950s Princess Line Coat Sewing Pattern – Fur Collar Option, Bust 38″

A 1950s princess-line winter coat with a clean fitted shape and two finishing options.

One version is made with pockets, while the second is finished with a fur collar, giving two quite different looks from the same pattern. The round neckline is simpler to construct than a coat with revers, while the two-piece sleeves provide a more tailored shape through the arm.

The coat is fully lined.

Wool, wool blends and tweeds would all work well for this design, ideally choosing a medium to heavyweight coating fabric with enough body to hold the princess-line shaping.

The pattern is sized to fit a 38″ (97 cm) bust and 40″ (102 cm) hip.
