This 1950s knitting pattern is for an off-the-shoulder blouse with a shaped yoke and decorative covered buttons.
The pattern can be made sleeveless or with short sleeves, with both versions designed to sit across the shoulders and neckline.
Originally knitted in 3-ply yarn, the sleeveless version requires approximately 5 oz (142 g), while the short-sleeved version requires approximately 6 oz (171 g).
You will also need ten ½-inch (15 mm) covered buttons, press studs and a small steel crochet hook for the finishing.
The pattern uses old UK needle sizes, and a conversion chart is included to help with modern equivalents. As always with vintage knitting patterns, check the stated tension before choosing your yarn and needles.
Designed to fit a 32–34 inch bust.
