1950s Angora Scoop Neck Blouse Knitting Pattern – Bust 32–38

This 1950s knitting pattern is for a scoop-neck Angora blouse worked mainly in stocking stitch.

The front and back are knitted alike, keeping the construction relatively straightforward. The scoop neckline is finished with a one-inch band of single rib, worked on four double-pointed needles.

Originally knitted in Furwul “Tinkerbell” Angora & Nylon Wool, the yarn appears to have been similar to a modern 4-ply. As vintage yarns do not always correspond exactly with modern weights, choose a substitute by matching the stated tension.

The pattern uses old UK No. 11 (3 mm) and No. 8 (4 mm) needles, with four double-pointed needles required for the neckband.

Four sizes are included, to fit 32, 34, 36 and 38-inch busts.

The stated tension is 6 stitches and 8 rows to one inch.

To fit bust: 32–38 inches.
