This jumper features a delicate spot pattern throughout the body, complemented by a striking Fair
Isle yoke and coordinating colour-work bands on the sleeves.
The yoke is worked after the jumper has been assembled, using four double-pointed needles, giving
the neckline a continuous finish.
The pattern is primarily written in clear, easy-to-follow instructions, making it enjoyable to knit even
if you don’t love working entirely from charts. Small charts are included only for the yoke and sleeve
cuffs, offering helpful visual guidance exactly where it’s needed.
The original garment was knitted using Patons Purple Heather wool, with the main colour supported
by white and small accents of red and green to create the classic Fair Isle look. The pattern uses both
3 mm and 3.75 mm needles, along with a set of double-pointed needles for the yoke.
Tension is set at 6.5 stitches per inch over stocking stitch, measured using the larger needles, ensuring
a neat fabric that shows off the colour-work beautifully.
