This Fair Isle sweater is a real snapshot of 1940s knitting, originally worked in a striking
combination of brown, turquoise, and white that still feels fresh today. It’s the kind of
classic design that would have been worn often and kept for years, with its balanced
colour-work and timeless shape.
The pattern is written for 3 ply yarn and uses No. 9, 10, and 13 needles, with clear

also needed to neatly finish the neck opening.
The finished sweater measures approximately 36 inches around the underarms,
with a length of about 19 inches from the shoulder. The sleeve seam comes to
