1950s Lined Coat Sewing Pattern – Two Lengths

This mid to late 1950s sewing pattern is for a slim, fully lined coat with a choice of full or three-quarter length.

The coat has a rever collar, pockets and two-piece sleeves which can be made either long or three-quarter length. The full-length version fastens with three large buttons at the front, while the shorter version uses two.

Suitable fabrics include wool and mohair blends, camel hair, velvet, linen and heavier cottons, depending on whether you want a warmer coat or a lighter version for Spring or Autumn.

The pattern is drafted for a 34-inch bust and 36-inch hip and is best suited to an intermediate sewer.
