Description

A lovely jumper from the 1940s that is worked in zigzag stripes of two colours, with ribbed
welts, short sleeves, and an opening at the back that closes with three tiny buttons.

Measurements after pressing 34 inches round underarms stretching to 36 inches. Length
from shoulder to lower edge 19 inches.

The original used yarn was 4 ozs.(114g) of Copley’s 3 ply Excelsoir Wool in brown and
3 ozs. (86g) in gold. I pair each of No. 9 (3.75mm) and nO. 12 (2.75mm) needles,
3 tiny buttons.

Tension: about 15 sts. to 2 inches in width and 17 rows to 2 inches in depth measured
over the pattern when pressed.
