1940s Women’s Belted Coat Sewing Pattern with Fur Collar – Bust 34

A beautifully shaped women’s coat pattern from 1944, with a fitted waist and softly flared skirt that gives it that unmistakable 1940s silhouette. The coat is panelled through both the front and back and finished with a belt to define the waist, while the long fitted sleeves keep the overall line neat and elegant.

It can be made with or without the fur collar, giving two quite different looks from the same pattern. The collared version makes a particularly smart winter coat, while leaving it off gives a simpler tailored finish.

Suitable fabrics include wool, tweed, twill and basket-weave fabrics, along with other medium to heavier weight coating fabrics that will hold the shape of the panels.

The pattern is sized for a 34 in (86 cm) bust, 28 in (71 cm) waist and 37 in (94 cm) hip.
