1940s Wartime Tea Dress Sewing Pattern – Plus Size, Bust 42″

Price range: £10.49 through £19.99

Two lovely wartime tea dresses dating from 1942, with three variations and some particularly nice period details.

Views 1 and 3 share the same design, with a shirt-style bodice buttoning to a rever collar, a panelled skirt and matching belt. View 1 has long sleeves, while View 3 offers the same dress with short sleeves.

View 2 has a different look, with a V-neckline and softly shaped shawl collar, short sleeves, a panelled skirt and tie belt.

The pattern does not give specific fabric recommendations, but viscose, linen or linen blends, cotton and wool blends would all work well, depending on the finish and season.

Sized to fit a 42″ (107 cm) bust, 36″ (91 cm) waist and 45″ (114 cm) hip.

The pattern has basic step by step instructions and I have included a helpful
sewing guide
