1940s Wartime Striped Sweater | Vintage Knitting Pattern

This striped sweater is worked in a textured combination of moss stitch and stocking stitch. The
stripes are knitted using one smaller needle and one larger needle to create a subtle raised effect,
a clever and economical wartime design detail.

Originally knitted in Patons Beehive 2-ply fingering yarn, using vintage needle sizes No. 10
(3.25mm) and No. 12 (2.75mm), with No. 4 (6.00mm) needles used for the striped sections.
