1940s Summer Blouse Knitting Pattern – Pretty Lace Stitch – Bust 32–36

Price range: £3.99 through £5.99

A pretty little summer blouse from the 1940s, worked in a delicate lace stitch with short puff sleeves, a neat collar and buttoned front. The fitted ribbed waistband gives it that lovely 1940s shape, making it perfect for wearing with high-waisted skirts or trousers.

The original pattern uses 2-ply yarn with old UK No. 10 (3.25 mm) and No. 14 (2 mm) knitting needles. A modern 3-ply yarn might also work well, but do make a tension square before starting to ensure the correct fit.

Measurements to fit: Bust 32–34 ins (81–86 cm) and 36 ins (91 cm).

A lovely lightweight knit for warmer days, with plenty of pretty stitch detail.
