A pretty 1940s twin set featuring a lovely combination of diamond and mock cable panels, giving both the jumper and cardigan plenty of texture and detail.
The jumper has a neat round neckline, while the matching button-front cardigan has long sleeves and a flattering fitted shape. Both pieces have that distinctive 1940s look and would be just as wearable today, either together or separately.
The original pattern was knitted in Lincoln Mills Daphne Crochet Wool, which is listed on Ravelry as a light fingering (3-ply) yarn. You will need approximately 16 oz (455g) of yarn for the set, together with No. 10 (3.25mm) and No. 12 (2.75mm) knitting needles.
Tension: 8 stitches and 10 rows to 1 inch in broken rib after pressing.
Measurements: To fit a 34-inch bust, with additional instructions included for adapting the size.
