The jumper is designed to sit slightly below the belt for an authentic vintage silhouette,

The fern stitch pattern is worked at a gauge of 2 repeats to 3¼ inches on US size 1
(2.25mm) needles, while the skirt is knitted on a US size 2 (2.75mm) circular needle
