1930s Novelty Jumper Knitting Pattern – Two-Colour Yoke

Price range: £3.99 through £5.99

A striking 1930s jumper knitted in navy blue and white, with a fitted ribbed waist and cuffs and an unusual slanting neckline. The contrasting white yoke and sleeves are worked with cartridge pleats, creating the softly gathered, textured effect that gives this jumper its distinctive 1930s shape.

The main body is worked in slip-stitch, with ribbing around the lower edge and cuffs.

The original yarn used was 4 oz (approx. 114g) of Sirdar Super Shetland 3 ply in navy and 5 oz (142g) in white.

Worked on No. 9 and No. 12 old UK knitting needles.

Tension: 7 stitches to 1 inch in width.
