1930s Knitting Pattern – Two V-Neck Jumpers with Frill or Striped Trims

Price range: £3.99 through £6.99

Two lovely 1930s jumpers, each with its own character. One has a pretty frill around the V-neck and sleeve edges, while the other has a simpler, more tailored look with fine contrasting stripes along the neckline, cuffs and waistband.

Both jumpers are worked mainly in stocking stitch, making them fairly straightforward to knit. The frilled version has a simple decorative stitch pattern for the trims.

The original yarn was Curlew Knop, which appears to have been a textured or bouclé-style yarn. I haven’t been able to establish its exact weight, but judging by the needle sizes and tension, it may have been similar to an Aran weight. This is only an estimate, so checking your tension with a modern substitute is recommended.
