1930s Knit Suit Pattern Vintage Sweater Blouse and Skirt Set

This 1930s two-piece knit suit includes a sweater and matching skirt, worked in a style
typical of the period. The sweater has an interesting construction, with the sleeves and
shoulders worked as one piece, and is finished with large buttons at the front and back.
The skirt is knitted in the round, giving it a smooth, uninterrupted finish.

The original yarn was Minerva Dusteen (153 yards per 2oz ball). The exact ply isn’t
specified, but a 3 or 4 ply should work, check your tension to be sure. The pattern
uses 2.25mm (US size 1) needles and has a gauge of 8 stitches per inch.

This is a more involved project, particularly the circular knitting, so it’s best suited
to experienced knitters. The pattern is sized to fit a 34″ bust.
