1940s Vintage Knitting Pattern – Mix and Match Sweater with Matching Turban

The sweater was advertised during wartime rationing as “Three Jumpers for 6 Coupons.” It is
made in interchangeable halves that can be combined in different colour-ways to create
multiple looks. The matching turban uses the same idea, with a base crown and inter-
changeable scarves.

Sweater: Bust 34–36 in, shoulder to hem 19 in, sleeve seam 8 in
Yarn: 4 oz of fingering / 4 ply in each of three colours (approx. 12 oz total for sweaters, plus 3 oz
for the turban)
Needles: UK sizes 10 and 12 (conversion chart included for US and metric sizes)
Era: 1940s wartime rationing design, practical and economical
