1950s Boat Neck & Wing Collar Dress Sewing Pattern

This 1950s dress sewing pattern includes two bodice variations, both paired with a shaped four-panel skirt.

Choose a boat neckline with an outer placket detail over the gathered centre bust, or make the second version with a wing collar. Both styles have three-quarter sleeves with ruching at the elbow and gathered shaping at the centre bust.

The dress fastens at the left side with either a zip or traditional press-studs and hooks and eyes, and a matching belt is also included.

Suitable fabrics for both versions include rayon, cotton, lightweight woollens and jersey, with velvet also suggested for the wing-collar version.

The pattern is designed for a 34-inch bust, 28-inch waist and 37-inch hip.
