Dress & Jumper Knitting Pattern – Crochet-Effect Shell Stitch, Bust 32–40

This vintage knitting pattern includes both a dress and jumper with distinctive crochet-effect hems and sleeves.

Despite the appearance, the decorative sections are knitted rather than crocheted. A shell stitch worked with different needle sizes creates the open, textured effect, contrasting with the stocking-stitch sections of the garments.

Both the dress and jumper are worked in double knitting wool.

Five sizes are included, to fit bust measurements of 32, 34, 36, 38 and 40 inches.

The stated tension is 6 stitches and 8 rows to one inch over stocking stitch on old UK No. 9 needles.

To fit bust: 32–40 inches.
