1950s Lace Stitch Dolman Cardigan Knitting Pattern – Bust 32–38

This 1950s knitting pattern is for a lace-stitch cardigan with dolman sleeves, worked in one piece beginning at the lower edge of the back.

The one-piece construction continues through the body and sleeves, while the lace pattern gives the finished cardigan its open, textured appearance.

Originally knitted in Marriners DK wool, the pattern uses old UK No. 11 (3 mm) and No. 7 (4.5 mm) needles.

Three sizes are included, to fit bust measurements of 32–33, 34–35 and 37–38 inches. The finished length from the shoulder is approximately 20–21 inches, depending on size, with an arm measurement from shoulder to wrist of 26–28 inches.

The stated tension is 5½ stitches and 7½ rows to one inch.

To fit bust: 32–38 inches.
