1940s Haslam Dresscutting Lingerie No. 5 – Underwear, Nightwear & Culottes

Haslam Illustrated Book of Drafting for Lingerie No. 5 is a varied 1940s collection combining underwear and nightwear with practical separates and clothing for everyday wear.

The book includes underwear and nightwear, together with dressing gowns, blouses and skirts. There are also trousers and a particularly interesting cycling skirt or culottes design, giving this collection a broader range than the title Lingerie might suggest.

The garments are created using the Haslam System of Dresscutting, allowing you to draft your chosen design to your own measurements rather than working from a standard-sized sewing pattern.

To use the designs you will need the Haslam Foundation Drafting Instructions and Drafting Boards. These provide the personal foundation used as the starting point for the designs in the book. The current listing confirms that both are required separately.
