1950s Straight Skirt Sewing Pattern – Pleated & Deep Vent Styles

This vintage sewing pattern includes two versions of a straight skirt, with a choice of pleated or vented construction.

View A is shaped with two pleats, giving the skirt additional fullness and movement. View B has a deep vent, retaining a straighter line while allowing room for walking.

Suitable fabrics include woollens, flannel, gabardine and linen, as well as similar light to medium-weight woven fabrics.

The pattern is drafted for a 28-inch waist and 37-inch hip and is suitable for an advanced beginner upwards.
