A lovely V-neck tunic dress from the 1960s, knitted in Aran-weight wool. With its relaxed shape and simple styling, it’s a versatile little dress that looks just as good worn over tights as it does layered over a blouse for that classic Sixties look.
The original design was worked in Robin Aran Pure New Wool, using old UK size No. 6 (5 mm) and No. 8 (4 mm) knitting needles. A conversion chart covering old UK, metric and US needle sizes is included.
The pattern has instructions for two sizes, fitting a 34–36 inch (86–91 cm) or 38 inch (96.5 cm) bust, with corresponding hip measurements of 36–38 inches (91–96.5 cm) and 40 inches (101.5 cm).
Modern Aran-weight yarn should be a suitable starting point, but do check your tension before beginning to ensure the correct fit.
