1940s Crochet Blouse Pattern with Optional Fichu – Bust 34–35″

Price range: £3.99 through £5.99

A delightful little 1940s crochet blouse with two quite different looks. Keep it plain for a smart everyday blouse, or dress it up with the added fichu — a frill to you and me! The blouse is worked in a simple chain-loop pattern, with a neat collar, short sleeves and buttoned front.

The original yarn used was Greenock Baby Wool 3 ply, requiring 8 oz (227g) with the fichu or 7 oz (199g) without. A No. 3 UK steel crochet hook is required.

Tension is 10 loops to 3 inches in width and 7 rows to 1 inch in depth.

The finished blouse will fit up to a 34–35 inch bust.
