1940s Shirtwaist Dress Sewing Pattern – Short or Long Sleeves

A classic 1940s shirtwaist dress with a neat fitted bodice and four-piece skirt. The collar can be worn open as a rever or buttoned higher at the neck, with a choice of short or long sleeves.

Make the dress with distinctive patch pockets finished with threaded ribbon detail, or leave the pockets off for a simpler version. A belt defines the waist.
