1950s Square Neck Dress & Sheer Over-Blouse Sewing Pattern

A late 1950s dress and over-blouse pattern, combining a square-necked fitted dress with a sheer over-blouse for two different looks.
The sleeveless dress has a fitted bodice and full gathered skirt. It is designed for a sheer fabric, with the sheer overskirt lined beneath to give the skirt its soft, full shape.
The separate over-blouse is also made in sheer fabric, with three-quarter sleeves finished with small overlapping cuffs, three buttons down the front and a fitted waistband fastening
with a single button. A short-sleeved version is also included.
The overall look is reminiscent of the elegant outfit worn by Grace Kelly in High Society, particularly the combination of the simple fitted dress and sheer outer layer.
