1940s & 1950s Ladies’ Winter Vest Knitting Pattern | Three Sizes

This pattern includes three practical ladies’ winter vests, known at the time as Spencers, each offering a different style to suit your wardrobe. The collection features a classic Henley-style vest with a buttoned opening, a comfortable cardigan-style vest and an elegant surplus-style wrap design. All three are knitted in fine 2-ply yarn, making them ideal as lightweight extra layers during the colder months.

The original yarn used was Sirdar Majestic 2-ply, with the required quantities shown on the pattern sheet. A modern 2-ply yarn can be substituted to achieve a similar look and feel.

The three designs are available in the following sizes:

View A (Henley Style): Bust 34, 36 and 38 inches
View B (Cardigan Style): Bust 36, 38 and 40 inches
View C (Surplus Style): Bust 32, 34 and 36 inches
